Review Ubuntu Oneiric OCELOT 11:10

For Ubuntu users, certainly the Ubuntu release codenamed 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT is awaited. On October 13, 2011 Yesterday, 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT Ubuntu officially launched. As a derivative of Debian users, I joined curious about the changes brought by the Ubuntu Oneiric OCELOT 11:10. Therefore, armed with an internet connection Unlimited Midnight Flash, as well as download accellerator mainstay, Prozilla, I downloaded the Ubuntu ISO file Oneiric OCELOT 11:10.

After I downloaded the complete file, I use the USB mode to try Ubuntu Live Oneiric OCELOT 11:10. With the appearance of 3 plus Unity Gnome Gnome Shell, Ubuntu 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT almost no change as its predecessor, Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. Only, the placement of menu choices for applications, which made a bit more complicated (I think). In addition, many applications are lost, making me reluctant to install Ubuntu Oneiric 11:10 OCELOT to assist the Linux Mint 11 Katya mine. Some applications that I think is important, I do not find on Ubuntu 11:10:
1. Synaptic Package Manager
2. Gconf-editor

In addition, the display settings on Ubuntu 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT, quite cumbersome. I usually find the settings for the display font size, now can not find (or did not I find). So, look for notebooks Toshiba Pico PJM mine, not quite fit. Though I often use this menu in previous versions of Ubuntu. So for me, using Ubuntu 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT takes time to memorize the location of the menu settings.

Just like the previous Ubuntu without Ubuntu Restric Extras, we can not listen to music, play videos, and browse to a website that uses flash player. In addition, the minimalist graphics applications are also made, in the absence of GIMP. I am accustomed to using Linux Mint, was very less, as well as requiring extra bandwidth to complement Ubuntu which I use, in order to fit the needs (inconvenient).

Feeling less suited to Ubuntu 11:10 Oneiric OCELOT, finally I still maintain Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal to accompany "Ma'am Katya". For me, it is very unfortunate changes and also reduced some of the menus in Ubuntu Oneiric OCELOT 11:10. Due to the Ubuntu beginner users like me, this change is quite confusing. Either change the application let alone let alone and the reduction to be made by Ubuntu developers, in the next version of Ubuntu. Hopefully you Oneiric OCELOT Ubuntu users are still learning like me, could still survive. For now, the Ubuntu ISO file Oneiric OCELOT 11:10 I have, just for the additional collection of my Linux distributions only.
